Legoland 2012

that's where he wanted to go for his birthday! gasp! not carsland?! nope. tha't actually him on that roller coaster. noa loves them. ever since he was 3 when his dad took him to Knott's for his birthday, he's always loved them. he had a blast. we stayed in carlsbad and went 2 days. it was perfect because he got to enjoy parts of the park that we sorta rushed through the first day. kava was actually pretty good. (sorry kava, you're not really travel material. well, you weren't. hopefully when you can read this, things have changed).

kainoa got to see lego ninjago stuff - which he is so into right now. he had a good time. kyks was a trooper going on baby rides with kava. she said she liked legoland after all.

my boy is 6....

Mr. Kainoa. Oh, my, how you have grown so much. Funny- check, silly- check, love bug- super big check, sensitive- check, smart- check. You've learned a lot this year. You learned to boogie board (your fav), how to read, how to catch a ball IN YOUR GLOVE, and how to be a great big brother. you learned that more so this year. kava is 2 and he tests your patience, but, you're pretty good with him. you always make him feel better when he cries and give him lots of love. you still love your ate soooooo much. so much so that you your teacher asked you to draw your best friend and you drew ate. you follow her around and try to be like her. you're my little soft part in my heart, my first boy. you still ask me to lay with you at night- which i love. i love it when you say to me, 'hey! where's my kiss?' you're still a lover boy. mommas lover boy.

you are s i x. it's going fast, kainoa. kinder came and went so quick now it's 1st grade. i'm not ready at all for you to grow up. you were the baby for such a long time. but it's happening. all i can say is i'm glad to see you growing up to be a good boy. i know there's great things for you ahead. but for now just enjoy your lego ninjago, cars (yes, still), baseball, GUM- big league to be exact, school, coloring, bike riding, swimming... your childhood. i know i am.

kava ...opposite of how he normally is ;)

I love this series of kava. we just woke up and the light was perfect. thank goodness for my iphone. i really need to take my camera out more.

kava.... he's about 22 months in these pictures. he's a hoot. he loves power rangers and his brother. don't get me wrong, he loves kymora but there is definitely a bond forming with the boys. they fight, play, love all day. i love watching them and their relationship grow.

kava still is a good eater, but he is dirty as heck. food, dirt, milk all on his face all day. his hair is curly so if he plays too much he gets dreads. i can't skip on giving this kid a bath, it's just nasty.

no, he's not potty trained, no he doesn't know his abcs, no he doesn't know all of his colors.. oh well. but he sure does comprehend.. and he's my baby.... last baby.

Soccer soccer soccer!!!!!!

Kymora started her soccer season with a new team. Unfortunately, Beach fell apart so she joined a new team.

She's growing so much as a player. It's so exciting to see her develop and change. This is a kid who really loves the sport. i hope it sticks!

Here's to a great season, my little mid fielder! You know we love to watch you, too!

Kainoa and Fall Ball 2012

This fall Kainoa started fall ball. It's a more relaxed season on baseball. Only one practice, games on Sunday and if you can't make it, no biggie. Perfect way to have him and ate in a sport at the same time. This past Sunday was his first game. Yes, ok, he is probably one of the older ones and one of the bigger ones, but he did really well. Home run! And when he was on first, he caught the ball (in the air!) and got someone out.

He told me today that he really likes baseball... i'm so happy he found something that he likes. he hated basketball and soccer. so, he tried baseball, and he loves it. So proud of him. I love watching him. Go Noa!! xoxo
