kymora turns N I N E!

kymora,

happy 9th birthday! n-i-n-e! you are in your last year of single digits! time has flown by. what a great year you have had.

you are doing well in school, soccer is still your love, you have a new brother, and you are learning and growing so much.

i couldn't help but to get all sappy (as i always do.. you'll realize when you are a teen ;) looking at pictures of you when you were younger. i knew my life was going to change so much the day i brought you home. but, i didn't know how much BETTER my life would be.

i really miss it when it was just you and i. all day, me and you. it's no wonder you still ask to sleep with me or lay with me at night. you still aren't completely used to sharing me. but, you do well with it. you love your little brothers. it's funny to know that one day i'll be sharing you.. with friends.. and teen stuff (ick). i know i wont do well with that at all.

you are such a wonderful kid, kymora. you have a good heart. you always know what's important and you always put your family first. thank you for being the best daughter.
enjoy enjoy your birthday! we love you toooo much.

love always,
mom and dad

just because

i love this picture. this is how my kava boy smiles. ;) xo

happy father's day

we are so lucky.

have a great day, muelu. we are blessed to have our little family and you to head it. i often feel like the luckiest girl to have what we do.

thanks for being a great role model for the kids to look up to. thanks for being by my side this whole time.

we love you!

kainoa graduates pre k

kainoa graduated pre k this june. he starts kindy with his ate come september. this will be much different for him. no naps, more structure. but luckily, his big sister is not too far.

this has been a pretty good year for noa. although he got kissed by a girl his first day, he did do some learning (even though that girl was his 'girlfriend' through out the year..grr) he learned how to write his first and last name, his letters, numbers. he knows his days of the week, shapes, the basics.

not only has he matured a bit more (no calls to the principal's office! score!) he has grown so much. he's taller and talks like a big kid :( no more 'ba donalds', he actually says MC DONALDS. gosh, this has gone by way too fast. now it's summer and we do this again next year.

my artist

kymora's picture from art class got selected to be displayed at a local yogurt shop in seal beach. this is the second time this year :)

the first one is her water color of flowers. the second is a still image that she had to sketch (a bowl of almonds). the year before, her sculpture was chosen to be in the auditorium's display case. not too shabby for my third grader.

i love that she loves a little bit of everything. i love this side of her. lord knows she does not get any artistic or athletic skills from me.

so proud of my girl.

someone is walking

this is late of course, but kava started to take steps early may. by the end of the month, he is full on walking.

as you may guess, things are crazier than ever. he is into everything. the pots/pans, the kids rooms, the toilets (if we forget to close the bathroom door), the trash. all of it.
i also think he's getting too big for my bjorn. lol
