it's official... he's two!

he didn't really know it was his birthday, but he did know he had a cake! he did pretty good blowing out the candles! due to back to school night and muelu having school, we just had a quick dinner at home and cake. he got a cool basketball and hoop thingy and of course some cars and trucks! he loved it. he kept saying, mommy, shooot! shoot!

his vocab has grown..

nego- diego (sounds like negro, but it's not)
ora- dora (the missing of the letter 'd' scares me, and he thinks dora is diego's ate..haha)
toooo- two (when asked how old he is, which he is saying in the second picture)
carseat- the movie CARS
mooooie- movie
duce- juice (he got his 'd' there)
everything starts with 'a', example: 'a daddy?/a mommy?/a moooie/a lolo/a papa/a CARSEAT/
a rice... you get it.

he knows so much more than he can say, he follows direction pretty well too.. :)

thanks for all the birthday love! sheesh, my kids are growing up!

he's TWO...

kainoa muelu salanoa one year ago. where does time go? it feels like just yesterday that i was bragging to friends and family how 'well he slept' at night. now, he's talking (sort of) and is definitely showing signs of his very own personality.

he loves to watch Cars and the Incredibles over and over again. he definitely loves his ate. on her first day of school, he was trying to open her classroom door, yelling for her. he has a special bond with her. he has a special bond with me and with muelu.

he is still a cuddler, a lover boy, with a dash of a hot headed temper. he loves his cars, trucks and his babies. he can play rough with his cousins, and yet pucker his lips to kiss you.

he has changed so much in two years. i get excited watching him grow, but like you know, i get sad at the same time.
kainoa, i only wish happiness for you. just know that we love you very much. enjoy your birthday, your cake, your presents. happy happy birthday, son.

back to school...back to business

summer's over so that means soccer starts! kymora has joined soccer again this year and we love it. you could say we live for games, even though they aren't as competitive as the bigger girls- yet.
first game was saturday and i'm proud to say she scored 1 goal and kicked 2 out (as goalie). i think this may be the last year she is on the same team as jade and jadyn, so we have to make the most of this season.

sad to say i missed a lot of the game due to this guy:

he is all over the place, thinking he's a big boy. he even tries to get on the field and play with his sister.

trucks and hanna montanna?

yes, that's hanna montanna.... as much as he loves trucks and cars, he likes dolls. especially babies. he likes to walk around with a baby and tell you he has a baby. i crack up. i just figure he'll be sensitive and tough.. that's a good combo.
