bed head

mr. cakes is not feeling well. he just woke up from his nap. love his 'just woke up face' ;)

somethin's brewin'!

kyks and kainoa were out side playing. next thing i hear is the water hose and lots of laughing.

i guess these two were making a special 'mud pie'.

they don't always get along, but i love it when they do!

i just had to stop and take pics of kymora this day. she just took my breath away. she's 8 here. 3rd grade. the only sister in the bunch.

i told her that i didn't want anymore girls when i was pregnant with kava. 'why mom? i want a sister!' is what she'd say. truth is, i feel she is more special this way. the princess in our family, set apart from the boys. i'm hoping that we are on the path to a great relationship. i love how she is rough, but yes oh so delicate. she's a true girl in the sense that she is truly tied to her emotions. especially when it comes to our family. she says she 'hates' her brother, but she is the first one to cry if he's hurt. she's super tender toward her dad. she has a lovely soul. she really cares about her friends, family, school. she's got a light about her that i hope no one takes away.

anyway, i just had to share these. my baby is getting so big!

*ps this post is not to take away from my family members that have 2 girls (ie, amihan and jamie. I can hear the comments now ;)

finally... a tooth

a few days short of 9 months old and kava barely got his first tooth! and his only tooth because it's only 1 tooth. (you can kind of see it in the pic right above)

tell me this kid doesn't look like 2 different babies in these pics. all i did was move his hair to the side and he looks completely different.
kava is such a lover. and a mover. he loves to kiss me. if i pucker my lips he moves towards my face :) he's a mover because he also doesn't really let you hold him. he's like a fish out of water. can't believe this one is my last one and he's already 9 month old. he's making it very hard for me to go to work.
i love this kid. too much.

snow!

big bear and mt. baldy all in one winter season! i surprise myself. we have never taken the kids to the snow, that is until now.

of course they loved it. kainoa was a daredevil (are you surprised?) kymora was the energizer bunny. the nice thing about these 2 is they can play by themselves allll day. well, let me clarify... if they are doing something fun/sporty/outdoorsy, they can play alone alll day. they had a blast.

too bad kava and i were stuck in the cabin. baby cakes doesn't do well in the cold weather ;)
