christmas 2009

i think this christmas was one of the best. kainoa finally really understood the concept. kymora and kainoa helped decorate my house, my mom's house and my lola's house. this is the first year that i took off a week while the kids were out of school, so all four of us were home together. it was nice to have a christmas break to ourselves before the baby is born.
we made gingerbread houses, took a trip to candy cane lane (huge houses all lit up, they even sell hot chocolate in front of their houses, they have carolers, hot cider, the works), watched lots of movies, lit the fireplace a lot, lots of hot cocoa, and baked goodies, hugs and naps.

muelu finally agreed to a haircut for kainoa, so you can see his handsome face now. they got all decked out for christmas eve at lola delia's house. kainoa's reaction to his presents from tita leah was the best. he was so happy w/the pack of cars she got him he could hardly stand it. he kept saying 'oh my my', 'i looooove cars'. we didn't go all out and kymora was fine with that. she loved her crafts she got. i am so happy she loves to make stuff.

a pic from the salanoa clan.

goofball

this kid is too funny. he's a typical boy for sure. i woke up one morning to find him giving his cars a car wash. since we have dirt in the yard, the water turned our yard into one big 'mudpuddle' as kainoa calls it. he was getting down and dirty in this mud puddle.

he loves to take a bath. but of course he has to have at least 2 cars in with him. he talks soo much. all i hear all day is mommmmmmmmm, mommmmmmm, or daaaaadddddd, daddddddd, or ate, ate.

the other day i noticed he was flooding in some jeans that were too big for him not too long ago. he is getting big way too fast.

at 3 years and 4 months kainoa is really really into... CARS still. max and ruby, wow wow wubzzy, apples, waffles, MEAT, backpacks (or rescue packs as he calls it), legos, and my pumpkin bread :) he really is so much fun.
