happy birthday, muelu

today you're 35!! can you believe we met when i was only 16? who would've thought we would reunite one year later, date for 8 years, get married, and have 3 beautiful kids? i know now that i can't imagine my life without you.

a lot of people use the term 'best friend' loosely, but for me it's the foundation of who you are to me. you've been my cheerleader, my confidant, my funny side kick, my common sense maker, my heart for over 17 years. i don't know about you, but i think that definitely defines a best friend.

we've been through a lot these past few years..lot's of struggles, but never did i doubt you or us. now it's time to enjoy all the hard work you've put in for our family. you definitely deserve everything positive that comes your way.

thank you for putting our family first. thank you for the man you are. i know i couldn't do it alone.

now, as kainoa would say.. ENJJOYYY..

love you much...

muelu... the rn :)

he did it. in august, muelu graduated from the nursing program and went on to pass his boards in september.

what can i say? i am so proud of this man. i don't think i've ever met a more dedicated person to his family, to school, and to succeeding. he spent endless hours studying, trying to juggle school, and us. i would often come home to a clean house, dinner made, laundry done... after he studied for 8-10 hours. i don't even know how muelu did it. i guess it's true, if you want it bad enough, nothing will stop you.

i hope when you kids read this blog when you are teenagers, you appreciate and value what dad has done to make our lives better. i can't even say dad did this for himself, because in the long run, i think he did it for you kids. he only wants the best for us. he's a perfect role model. i couldn't ask for a better husband, father, or best friend.

muelu, we are so proud of you and we love you.

girl's got moves..

just some fun pics of kymora at soccer camp. she got to meet 4 galaxy players, get some training, and, got some freebies. not bad for a free soccer camp!

kava 5 months!

already?! my little guy is 5 months today. he is now teething and rolling over onto his tummy. he started this at 4 months. we can't leave him alone on the bed anymore. isn't that fast for a 4 month old? will he walk at 6 months? ;)

he started some rice cereal and food earlier this month. he's so fully of giggles, he has the whole family laughing. he's super ticklish too. i love the way he looks at me... as if i'm the only person in the room. almost half way to a year old. slow it down, pls...

chuck e cheese and cupcakes

now that kainoa is in school, we have to wake him up earlier than usual so he can open his gifts for his birthday. this is a first for us.

let's just say waking up your kid to open presents isn't as glamorous as it sounds... after he really woke up, he enjoyed waking up to this...

and this....
he's still into Cars, so he loved his gifts. all toys for the little guy. that was a first also.

at lunch, muelu, kyks and i surprised him with cupcakes at school. we decided to play hooky and take kainoa out of class after lunch to go to his favorite place, Chuck E. Cheese. just us. it was perfect, not crowded and he got to play all the games all day.

after c.e.c., we came back to the house for dinner and cake. this birthday was one of the simplest, easiest we've done. kainoa didn't care. he was so happy just to celebrate his day. the easy going guy is easy to please.

loved this birthday. love this little guy.
