coco-ca-pop-pals

that's what kymora calls coco puffs. glub, aminals that's kymora talk. for a long time i didn't correct her because i was one of those parents who thought it was cute. only because kymora is not your typical 4 year old. she's more like 4 going on 14. no baby talk. no babyness about her. so when she flubs these words, i sit back and chuckle. cococapoppals. love it.

WTF!

ok, I have not been the most loyal laker fan this season, i can admit that. i was still heartbroken with the breakup of shaq and kobe. it was hard for me to watch shaq play against kobe during the christmas game. BUT, i still love the lakers. i still love kobe. and now i hear that he effin' wants to be traded!!! i can't handle it. jerry and jim dogged him. they gave empty promises and they let kb take the fall for the shaq trade. i thought the lakers roller coaster would end in '04 after the most disappointing trade i've seen (shaq for effin' divac?!) i'm tired of these stories. i'm die hard laker fan. if kobe goes, i go. arrrgh!

a good way to start my day

Muelu and i didn’t have our kids – again. So this morning, muelu and i wanted to get breakfast, but due to our JOBS we didn’t have much time. We ended up going to our favorite coffee house and got some bagels and coffee. We weren't there long, but it was nice. Muelu and I have been together for 15 years (OMG!) and he is still my first choice for company. We don’t say much when we are together, but we still love to be around one another. I think that’s pretty damn good. Coffee wasn’t a big deal today, but i am a sucker for the little things. And these little moments that i can spend with my husband mean a lot to me. I can actually say good morning today, because i had one.
*sidebar: pls. excuse the picture. this is the best i had. :/

8 months!

the clock is ticking! my boy is almost a year old. this is his thing right now. saying 'mmaaa..mmmmma' (he was doing it as i was taking the shot) i'd like to think he is calling for me, but i think he's just into the mmm sound. he is semi starting to crawl. i think i should just bypass that whole stage and go straight for walking. still no teeth, still the lover :)
the kid babbles so much. he laughs hard and sleeps hard. that's my boy at 8 months. whew, that went by so fast.

rambling on a sunday..

today has been a pretty slow day. did lots and lots of laundry. made some lunch, watched a dvd, bathed the kids... just the same ol' sunday. oh, except for the fact that there's no muelu. muelu is now working every sunday :( yay for our bank account, whah for the family. kinda sucks, but i know he has to do this...

baths were kinda fun today... kainoa's bath was a splash..hahah..

he loves to splash in his face. it's kinda funny to watch. sucks for me b'cuz i have to clean the soppy floor later. (kinda blurry..)

kymora served bath water tea.. mmmm... i would post her pic in the bath, but there are a ton of sickos..
i think my kids were pretty bored today. you can't tell by these pictures, but trust me... they were bored.

soccer and kainoa at 7 months, oh my!

its been a looong time! i was on travel for a week in san diego, so i fell off my blogging! my fan must be disappointed.

well, soccer finally started for kymora. indoor soccer at the ymca to be exact. she had a great first game. no goals, but lots of effort... and hey, that's all i can ask for. this year she has 3 friends on the team, jadie, jadyn and jamie. can you get any more 'j' friends than that?!
this season, they are the Pirates. don't ask. that's what happens when you let 4-5 yr olds name the team. this season will be interesting since it's a co-ed team.

kymora also was chosen to read for their pre-k mass. she had to 'read' (memorize) quite a few lines. she did so well :) we're proud of her.

here's her class after mass
annnnnnnnnd in other news... kainoa is now 7 months AND sitting up AND holding his bottle.
yay!!! yet, i still like to hold him and feed him once in a while. still a good little boy, laughing, smiling and yelling. yes, he found his voice.

kymora is so into this right now. talk about bringing back the old school. who remembers teck decks?love that she loves things like this. :)
