talking is right around the corner

you can now add the words: apple (ahhhpulh), outside (owsyh), OUCH!, and me (meeeeeh) to his vocabulary. he continues to be the star of the show with our families. his cousin Malea (who claims he is her son.... in 16 years maybe) has recently taught him to pose w/his lips puckered, the way she does. he is quite the character.

side note: him and kymora had their first real fight weds. the boy has a temper.... i try to convince muelu that he is a lover, not a fighter, but something tells me he will not be one to take a beat down.

not a d*mn thing...

that’s what we did this monday. it was a holiday for kyks and me, so we stayed home and just hung out. we were busy bee’s sat/sun so monday, we took it easy- and it was nice.

so i decided to blog about some thing that our family did do. and that was attending my tito toto’s 50th bday in vegas- sin city, baby! kids did well on the trip, too bad it was freezing, so they couldn’t enjoy the pool or the sites.

it was a nice little vacation. I wish i could say muelu won millions and i just work for fun, but, yah that isn’t what happened.

most of our family, minus the salanoa’s. wtf. actually, a lot of us are missing. i must’ve been eating.

cousins and the birthday boy (we're all about the same age 13-21...)
g-l-a-m-o-r-o-u-s... we know how to pose...
sorry, it's hard for us to take serious/nice pics...

here's one..and the bubba :)
girls: boys, jells and birthday boy: good times for sure. i'm sure i left out some of the family (tita leah) so, please don't get offended. there are way too many of you bidaures :) gotta love 'em tho'.

almost half way

one more month and this guy is a year and a half. almost half way to 2 years old. where did the months go? every now and then me and muelu go through pictures of the kids. we crack up at how kainoa was losing his hair in big patches and to look at his mop now you'd never know. kainoa is such a sweetheart. he really pulls at your heart strings. he's not scared to let my friends or distant relatives hold him. he still likes to snuggle right in my neck. a true luv bug who is almost 2.

ps- yah, tried to do this in photoshop.. psshh, i need practice and words of wisdom from my 2 talented cousins..

happy valentine's day!

during this way overrated holiday i find myself rolling my eyes when i hear people talk about their plans on how they are going to 'romance' their significant other, cringe when i see stores bombarded with valentine balloons, candy, flowers, i change the station when i hear cheesy love songs....this man made holiday is really not for me. and every year, i try to make it a holiday that would rank right up there with christmas. and you know what? it just doesn't. don't get me wrong, i'm a hopeless romantic who dreams go growing old w/my husband, but valentine's day? are you serious? the crowds.. the over-spending.... yah, not for me. although i am not a valentine's day girl, i still want to acknowledge my sweetheart.. teehee...

so, happy valentine's day to mah man mah man... i'm more thankful for the fact that he takes care of his family and shows us love everyday. not just today. he did give his favorite girl a box of chocolates just to remind her that she is in fact, his favorite girl. yes, they were for kymora.. :)

bubba got a box too... that way he wasn't left out. although muelu almost bought him reese's peanut butter cups, forgetting that the boy is deathly allergic to peanuts. way to go.

i've rambled enough. so, anyway happy valentine's day to all you couple's out there... (eye rolling) have fun tonight!!

good to be home

this morning started out like a normal sunday morning. muelu started cleaning the garage and i started cleaning the house. kids playing outside in their p.j.s...

then it happened. little bits of sunshine peeking behind the clouds. the thermostat was on the rise. 55 degrees, 69, 74.... and at it’s peak 80 degrees. so you know what we had to do! break out the waterslide, call over kymora’s bff’s jade and tanna and bbq away. the kids had such a good time. kainoa was trying to get used to the c-c-cold water.

kainoa also had his first bag of cheetos that day.. then he had his second bag that day. the boy was hooked! after the first bag, the boy took the second bag and hid on the stairs so no one would get to his precious cheetos. Fatty.. he gets it from me.

Oh, and btw, thanks to my little mom support group. Kymora read this book, so i guess my little paranoia phase was just that...paranoia.

It was a nice little break from the kids in san diego, but after the second day i was ready to come home.
