well, my cousins posted this so, i decided to do the same. you know, get my cousin jamie some publicity. we made it to print!! (i can't even get original with the saying). she contributes/works for this 'small' publication ;)

kainoa's first 'haircut'

my big boy got a little trim saturday. muelu didn't trust me, so i had to take him to supercuts ;/
i gave him a lollipop and let the hairdresser go to town. he didn't cry, move, or even wince. thank goodness for dumdums..
although it's not too noticeable, his 'bangs' were definitely out of his eyes. kymora was the ultimate big sister, giving him words of comfort. telling him 'not to cry, it won't hurt and mommy is right here'. i love that she takes the big sister role so seriously and lovingly... final pic of the 'do! tada! the boy can see! :)
and just some random shots... kyks took kainoa for a spin in her truck. funny cause we got this jeep for kymora when she was 2 and she could barely drive it. now it's too small for her. kainoa being the big boy ended up taking the wheel and did pretty well!

i think he was pretty shocked at how fast he was going :)

i guess a trip to costco is the gift that keeps on giving...


kyks probably realized its not all that it's cracked up to be.

lately, the kids have been doing a lot of this.. just playing outside with the ball, the toy cars, jump rope. muelu has been bbqing a lot of our dinners. just nice pre summer fun. i love that kainoa is getting old enough to play outside with out much supervision. but at the same time, i do get sad that he is growing up so fast. just like with kymora, i love putting kainoa to bed. he often strokes my cheeks, give me hugs and lately, he just stares at me and sings, 'maaamaaa..maammaa' i absolutely love it. and it absolutely breaks my heart...

just hangin'

kymora has always been fond of cooking, cooking shows, cook books, i guess food in general :) so, yesterday she made some chips out of flour tortillas and paired it with salsa. it was simple, but very good. she loves watching the lakers with me, so she wanted to make a snack for our big game against the bobcats...
spring break is almost over, so me and muelu took off a few days. we took a nice walk, went to the beach, went to story time.. got some ice cream.. a very laid back week. next week, the chaos begins...

purple and gold

i can't help it. i get obsessed. it's all i can think about, all i can read about. MY LAKERS. last nights game is a testimony as to why i can't just assume they are going to win with a 9 point lead and 8 minutes to go. why? golden state score an 8-0 run on us in 2 minutes. so what happens, lakers go into OT. really? my blood was boiling, i was screaming, waking up my kids, my neighbor. scratching my head like a damn crack addict. i have to have more. it's a vicious cycle. things are good up until JANUARY when the season starts. when January hits, it's espn.com, lakers.com, nba.com, and when they beat a teams ass bad, i read the opposing teams newspaper. well, what can i say, i love my lakers. mmmm. get well pau.
