i know we often disagree- you want to wear jeans, i want you in a dress. you want to play for '18 more minutes', i want to leave, you want to kiss kainoa when you're sick, i tell you not to. i know all this stuff is minor, but it's what makes our mother/daughter bond stronger. i need to slow down, remind myself you are just a kid, and although only 4, you are very opinionated, strong willed and quick. these aren't negative traits. they will help you thrive when you are at the right age. i want to help you develop these characteristics that make you, you.
i know i may be harsh, or mean, but i do love you. so much. i do love your sense of humor, your goofiness, your intelligence, your leadership, your strength.
it's hard to believe you are only 4. and when you are 14, i will look back at this blog and wish our arguments are as simple as they were before. so i will slow down, i will take the time to hear you out... i will remind myself that i am here to guide you and i will remind you that i love you.
