sickies

the kids are/were sick all week. first kymora, then kainoa... he's still feeling pretty bad.
before they got sick, this is what they looked like:

kainoa is thanking me for everything. every time.

kainoa: mom, open.
mom: there you go.
kainoa: tank you, mom.

kainoa: mom, eat corn.
mom serves corn.
kainoa: tank you, mom.

i love it! lol i find myself doing stuff for him just to hear him say it..

oh, and he's very inclusive.. example.

mom: kai, you're going to papa's house, k?
kai: ate, too?

mom: did you eat gum?!
kai: candy too.

so long rueben!

today we went to a little good bye lunch for our cousin rueben.. he's off to utah state on full scholarship. we're so proud of this guy!

on new year's day we also had tiff & co over for a little bbq.. kainoa and tai had such a great time playing together.
kymora and noa senior :) played wii and some ball outside. he's such a good little man to the kids...
it was a nice little break, now time for reality. school, lunches, bed times...

so this is christmas...

christmas was good. kids got spoiled, as always (not necessarily by us though). highlights: the wii kymora's wanted since last year and kai's train. he kept saying, 'wooow'.
so much has happened in 2008.


kainoa is talking so much. he does this chinese mumble-jibber thing that cracks up everyone up. maybe it's cantonese? mandarin? he hates veggies, except corn and broccoli. so opposite from his sister. he smacks and says, 'guud guud' as if he's a food critic. he is so much fun. until he chucks a car or truck at you. duck for cover.



kymora is learning a lot. not just in school, but in life. her vocabulary/sentences cracks me up. the other day she told me that she's not really a 'fan' of cooked bell peppers. or how her dad snores '50%' of the time. she's a caring older sister. sometimes i think i depend on her too much w/kainoa.
lots to discover in 2009. i want to make so many changes in my life.. i hope i can accomplish it all.
muelu's almost finished with school. 14 more months. it's been rough for the both of us. can't wait until he's finished! full time daddy and hubby again.
anyway, merry belated christmas and a prosperous new year.

kymora got presented w/ the reading award at school in late november. we're so proud of her!
she has become such a great little reader. some of her favorites are: fancy nancy, junie b. jones collection and dr. suess books.

even though it's late, here's a few thanksgiving pics. the two turkeys making thanksgiving cards to put on the pumpkin bread kymora helped make.
i can't believe christmas is only a couple weeks away!
