a lot of people tell me that kainoa is 'so cute he's going to be a heartbreaker'. i always giggled at the thought of him becoming a teen and dating. this august, he will start pre-school full time. as i was putting him to bed last night i was thinking about how quickly my boy has grown. it seems not too long ago he was sleeping in my arms or on my chest. seems like just yesterday i gave him a lollipop as a bribe to trim his cute curls. now, he'll be in school from 8-230 every day. just like a big kid. no more days of kainoa hanging out at home waiting for kymora to get out of school. no more partner for errands. now instead of giggling at the thought of him as a teen, my heart aches knowing it'll be here before i know it. now that i look back at that statement, it's true, kainoa will be a heartbreaker. little did i know the first heart kainoa would break would be mine :(
